FUNKIE x Nobirs

To celebrate Funkie House’s 35th anniversary, we’ve teamed up with Rotterdam’s own tattoo artist and illustrator Nobirs. He's known for his bold, American traditional inspired style. You also might recognize him from his recent collab with Obey or the in-store tattoo flash day he did at Funkie House back in 2019. This time, we asked him to create a design for a FUNKIE t-shirt, and that’s exactly what he did!

Nobirs drew inspiration from Rotterdam and its port, reflecting the city’s hard-working mentality—something we’ve also seen in his dedication and successes as an artist. It also happens that boats are one of his favourite things to draw.

On the front, a large sailing ship, straight-up representing the iconic port of Rotterdam. Flip to the back, a scene that pays tribute to the work-hard mentality and the people of Rotterdam who have built the city and its port from the ground up.

The natural white shirt has a perfect boxy fit, with the colors of the print representing Rotterdam, making it a release you shouldn’t sleep on.
